2Africa, the world's longest subsea cable of 45 000 kilometre, is expected to land in Amanzimtoti, in Durban today. The cable which will connect three continents, Africa, Europe and Asia terrestrially through Egypt, will deliver faster, more reliable internet service to each country where it lands. The 2Africa consortium is comprised of China Mobile International, META, MTN GlobalConnect, Orange, Telecom Egypt, Vodafone and the WIOCC - the West Indian Ocean Cable Company.

South African President Ramaphosa celebrated with party members on January 26 as they watched the World Court ruling on Israel live on a big screen.
The U.N.’s International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to “take all measures in its power” to prevent genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip but stopped short of ordering a cease-fire in the embattled territory.
The preliminary ruling delivered Friday by the 17-judge ICJ ordered Israel to enable the provision of basic services and humanitarian assistance in Gaza, where most of the territory’s 2.3 million people are struggling to find adequate food and shelter after three months of fighting between Israel and militant group Hamas.

The U.N.’s International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to “take all measures in its power” to prevent genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip but stopped short of ordering a cease-fire in the embattled territory.
The preliminary ruling delivered Friday by the 17-judge ICJ ordered Israel to enable the provision of basic services and humanitarian assistance in Gaza, where most of the territory’s 2.3 million people are struggling to find adequate food and shelter after three months of fighting between Israel and militant group Hamas.
